• Went for a quick photowalk with Paul at lunch.
                                        • A closeup of the top section of the Prairie Chicken statue, located on the Swann Mall at the University of Calgary.
                                          • Evan and I went for a hike after supper, and ended up at the dry pond near our house. The dandelions have all gone to seed, making for some good dandelion-blowing :-)
                                                        • Janice and I went to the Stampede with her father and aunt. The grounds weren't as crowded as they usually are, so we got to walk around without having to get into full-body-contact mode. Lots of "cowboys", and the "cowgirls" seem to get skankier every year...
                                                              • An extremely strong thunderstorm brewed over northwest calgary on the evening of July 13. The sun was just beginning to set, and was lighting the clouds from the side. I was trying to get a good shot of this cloud from my bedroom window, when a plane suddenly appeared, looking as though it was trying to fly away from the cloud…
                                                              • Crowds of people line up along Lake Louise to take in the scenery. All parking lots were stuffed, but most people didn't make the hike up to the tea house.
                                                                • grass in the bowmont natural pathway in Silver Springs, sunset and darkening sky.
                                                                                • early fireworks at olympic plaza, downtown calgary, as seen from the Calgary Tower observation deck.
